Zsolt Serényi and Roland Urbán are quite the duo – like characters out of a film. Since 2016, they’ve been delighting each other – and meat-lovers – at 24 Akácfa Street, and now at 55 too, with Bp Bar & Grill. As key figures on the BBQ scene, smoke is their lifeblood. The most formidable items on the menu are the Best of Beef and Best of BBQ platters, while the Tipsy Texan ups the ante by adding BBQ sausage to the brisket. And finally, New York’s iconic reuben sandwich is available in Budapest. Alongside the smoked meats, the staple dessert is baked curd dumplings, and of course, this being the heart of the party district: the drinks list tempts with cocktails, beers, sparkling wines, whiskies and pálinkas.
