One of the oft-changing shopfronts on Parisian-feel Vitkovics Mihály Street has finally found its calling. Cabrio has rolled in: a true new-wave bistro. It joins the capital’s natural wine bar scene with the creative flair of Tamás Albrecht, known from Mór24 in Balatonfüred. In the Cabrio kitchen, stylish, boldly flavoured small plates are made to be shared. The sauces, creams and dressings are exceptional – textures and flavours deliver such harmony that the results border on fine dining. Two standout dishes – their devilled eggs and charred celeriac carpaccio – have earned renown, but it’s safe to trust the menu here: every dish is crafted with meticulous care. Thanks to the owners’ global connections, guest chefs often drop by – some evenings bring a Mediterranean breeze, others a taut Scandinavian edge.
