You can grab a seat outside in the courtyard or sink into plush velvet chairs inside, where the walls are decorated with stern portraits of gorillas and lions in suits. They play on multiple levels here: come by just for drinks or cocktails, grab a Neapolitan-style pizza or a burger, or explore the more refined side of the menu. There is guinea fowl consommé, grilled Camembert from the Bükk region, handmade gnocchi, and a rich red wine-braised beef cheek dish. You will even find dry-aged Angus on the list. For dessert, both the cottage cheese dumplings with elderflower sour cream foam and the aranygaluska (Hungarian golden dumplings) served with walnut ice cream are absolutely spot-on.
