Kedvesem Bisztró

Out front, a white bicycle with a little sign reading "Kedvesem Bisztró" lets you know you are in the right place. This friendly bistro in Balatonlelle sits on the Móló promenade, with a view of the Lake Balaton. A spacious terrace, stylish lighting, modern furniture, and a play area for kids all invite guests in – along with a kitchen that is clearly a cut above the Balaton average. The menu features international favourites, local classics, and a solid selection of pizzas. The wine list focuses on regional producers from around Lake Balaton, with many options available by the glass. Among the reds, you will also find a few pleasant foreign picks. The beef cheek goulash comes in a huge portion, loaded with meat – a solid soup, though with some minor technical flaws. The sourdough listed on the menu unfortunately turns out to be a crumbly, factory-made bread. The chicken paprikash is also a generous serving, with a tasty sauce and fresh, soft dumplings. The sour cream foam on top is more for looks than flavour. We also ordered a cucumber salad, and the salt-vinegar-sugar balance felt just like something grandma would have made – truly homemade. Service is mostly professional, though one of our servers seemed a bit disengaged. During our visit, the restroom’s cleanliness could have been better, too. Still, Kedvesem is a charming spot where you will find good food and honest portions.
