La Nube

On the lively Bartók Béla Boulevard, full of cafés and bistros, La Nube stands out as one of the very best choices. A tapas bar run by Spanish owners is always a promising sign, but here, expectations are not just met, they are exceeded. The kitchen relies on ingredients sourced directly from Spain, and that quality shines through, especially in the cold tapas. Hand-carved jamón ibérico, 9-month-aged serrano ham, semi-hard tetilla cheese, or creamy Asturian blue cheese paired with a glass of Spanish wine turn even a simple plate into a celebration. But the kitchen does not play it safe: grilled ribeye and octopus are cooked to perfection, and the red wine-braised pork cheek and red wine chorizo are both deeply flavourful. Even the house croquettes and classic patatas bravas are a joy to eat.
