Taco Truck

Word of Taco Truck passed from one sun-kissed palate to the next: proper Mexican flavours had arrived on the northern shore. This is literally street food in Szigliget, not just a name, but a graffiti-tagged truck slinging tacos from under the shade of sail awnings. Guests sip cocktails or beers in garden chairs, while the bolder among them venture into the mezcal field. Build your own taco, burrito or quesadilla – the flavours spark with life, and it speaks volumes that they press their own corn tortillas. “Tequila bacon” crackles in the Mexican burger, and the veggie version – black bean patty, guacamole and coleslaw – is anything but an afterthought. One of the few truly authentic street food spots in Hungary — and absolutely worth seeking out.
