A bistro in beach-buffet disguise on Zamárdi’s public beach, where even the multicoloured chairs were hand-painted by the hosts, Zsuzsi Orbán-Juhász and Attila Orbán. Since 2017, they’ve offered a masterclass in how joyful, laid-back hospitality can be delivered with professionalism, bringing a breath of the tropics to the southern shore. At Tiki, cocktails, wines and fruity spritzers pair perfectly with breezy, summery dishes. Cool off with fermented cucumber soup, or crunch down on its crisp, panko-fried counterpart. Signatures include Tiki Burger with charolais beef, vegan millet-curd dumplings and tarhonya pudding, while gourmet pizzas emerge with impressive finesse. A chilled, child-friendly haunt with live music evenings, where the dreadlocked hostess serves barefoot – it couldn’t get more authentic.
