Vitorlás Bisztró

Right on the lakeshore, in a classic beachside building, you will find Vitorlás Bisztró. The outdoor tables are shaded by a roof and umbrellas, and while at first glance it might look like just another lakeside food spot, Vitorlás is very much a real bistro. It has been a local favourite at the Keszthely city beach for nearly 10 years, a reliable go-to if you are craving flavours from the Zala region, a proper fish soup, some dödölle, or a hearty schnitzel. Portions are generous. Lots of people drop by just for a spritzer or a beer, but once they see the dishes coming out of the kitchen, they often stay for lunch or dinner too. The kitchen turns out a whole lineup of crowd-pleasers, made with care, and just enough of a modern twist to catch your attention, though the focus still leans clearly toward tradition. Honestly, summer would be better if every beach had a place like Vitorlás.
