Byblos Restaurant - Fine Lebanese & Levantine Cuisine

10.5 | 20

Byblos, the first solo venture of chef and owner Osama Kutaini, brings the flavours of Lebanese and Levantine cuisine to the heart of the city. The vibrantly bustling atmosphere of this central restaurant encourages guests to linger here for hours. Its loyal following speaks volumes about the venue's appeal. Surprisingly, the appetizers and dessert stood out as the highlights of our meal: the remarkably creamy hummus and the traditional Arab delicacy, knafeh. This kadayif pastry, with its crispy exterior and soft, cheesy centre, brought a smile to our faces with its texture and taste. However, we were puzzled by the presence of napkins from the neighboring sister restaurant, Jouri. Also, the table and utensils were not pristine, and the restroom was in need of some attention. While Byblos may have lost some of its initial momentum, it remains a reliable choice for those seeking a stylish setting and delicious Middle Eastern fare.
