Fågel by artizán

When the country’s first “oatmeal restaurant” opened in 2019, it may have seemed like an experimental project, but time and loyal guests have proven it a success. Fågel by Artizán makes its roots clear in the name: it is the brainchild of Gergő Fekete, founder of Artizán Bakery and a key figure in Hungary’s sourdough renaissance. This time, he gave porridge its own dedicated space. What makes Fågel stand out is the savory side of things – toppings like house-made green pesto, roasted garlic tomatoes, crispy broccoli, and pickled onions turn oat bowls into something truly crave-worthy. The sweet versions are equally indulgent: loaded with fresh fruits, crunchy seeds and nuts, and rich nut butters. The plum crumble porridge tastes like a playful take on grandma’s classic plum dumplings, with spiced plum compote, almond butter, and oat crumble. Fresh, original, and full of character.
