PADI Pezsgőbár és Étterem / PADI Sparkling Wine Bar & Restaurant

The Sauska family’s latest venture just outside Mád, housed in a landmark building made up of two 36-metre-wide “bowls” that, in the words of its architects, “peer from the hilltop like a pair of curious eyes.” This striking structure serves as both visitor centre and production site. At the time of writing, only the bar is open to guests — but even so, the futuristic space, grounded in natural materials and views has to be experienced. Alongside Sauska’s full Tokaj and Villány range, the drinks list includes select local craft beers. Bar food is elevated with top-tier ingredients: Mangalica pork from Megyaszó and Gesztely, foie gras from Móricgát, cheeses from Mád. Padi Hill feels like the natural evolution of the Sauska ethos – the same finesse and precision found at their flagship, Sauska 48 in Villány. A full restaurant is in the works, and promises to be one of Tokaj’s most exciting openings.
