Rudi és Fickó

Szeged has Rudi & Fickó to thank for its very first sourdough breads, and quite a few other milestones too: top-tier Neapolitan pizza, brunches, and a welcoming, modern bistro vibe that feeds both body and soul. Named after two border terriers, this downtown spot stays open from early morning till late at night, and the owners call it a “fine food production workshop”. The sourdough craze is alive and well here, their baked goods are outstanding. But so is their beef cheek goulash soup, their rich veal ragout, their poppy seed bread pudding with fruit compote, and their well-curated coffee selection. Rudi és Fickó is stylish and real, a place where contemporary cooking meets surprisingly elegant, old-school decor.
